Step 6 of 7

Corner placement

Place the four top corners so their colours match the side centres. The top stays yellow; the top edges may move, they will be placed in the last step. If the corners are already in the right order, just turn U to line them up with the centres.

The basic situations

Hold the cube as the hint says, then apply the formula. In the app, every formula is animated on a virtual cube.

• Two adjacent corners placed

  Turn U until two neighbouring corners are placed (their colours match the centres), then turn the whole cube to put them at the back. The two front corners need swapping.

• Two opposite corners placed

  Turn U until two diagonally opposite corners are placed, then turn the whole cube so they sit at the front left and back right. The other two corners need swapping.
